THE

JORVIAL
QUIZ CONTEST
(EDITION 1)

The Quiz Contest is an educative, quite fun, brain-teasing quiz competition that provides you a way to challenge your mind, test your intellect, and expose yourself to general knowledge around the world that you might not know about, or you might just need. You also get to compete with several others across the country and fight for the winning slots. Plus, you don't need academic knowledge or qualification to participate.

It's a quiz, and it's going to cover vast areas of knowledge and life facts like space, science, novels, films, academic-related facts, logic thinking, art, and many more! But not to worry, we'll provide you with the necessities you require to be able to take this quiz. All you have to do is to get the requirements and follow the guides we would give, and you'll be set.

Requirements:

If you are interested in registering for the competition, you will need the following;

  • Membership Account

Interested persons are to create an Jorvial Activity account, that is, to create an account on this website. You can become a member by simply fully signing up - no stress.

  • Portable Device

You are advised to have a good-working device that you can readily have access to. This is to prevent issues like the inability to get access to the quiz interface once it's open or have fluent interaction on the test interface.

  • Age

The maximum age requirement for the contest is 25years. No fixed minimum. Recommended minimum: 7 - 8 years.

  • Registration Fee

You will be required a registration fee of $2 (USD) and equivalent.

  • Extras

The only fee we would request from you for this contest is the registration fee.

  • Cool-headed brain

Now, this is one of the most important requirements. You would need a cool-headed brain to partake in this contest. Remember that it is a competition between a myriad of contestants.

CONTEST RULES

Here are the contest rules you are strongly advised to strictly follow. Miss out on one that knowledge of these, and you could be seriously penalized for it.

  • No redundant submission of the quiz test. One-time submission is enough. Submitting the test more than once would lead to automatic disqualification.

  • Do not make an error in contact details on the registration form. It should correlate with the details on your dashboard.

  • The ID number (which is a requirement in the quiz interface) would given to you after registration. Inputting an incorrect ID number such as omitting or replacing any character would be considered a fraudulent submission, and submission would be rejected, leading to disqualification.

  • The quiz contest has an opening and closing date, which would be an interval of two weeks. Ensure to constantly check here for date range updates. The date range would be sent to test takers' emails.

  • Winning contestants would be contacted via email/web/mobile chat. A list of these winners would also be displayed on the site to satisfy those that might have email issues at that time.

That's pretty much all the rules. Now let's go on and give you some advice on how to creep up the contest ladder.

  • The quiz interface has no timer and supervision. That's good, right? While it is a very great opportunity for you to spend all your time searching for information on books and the Internet, be aware that this is not a cheating loophole. Looking up information to answer the questions is not disallowed, and is even to some extent recommended, because it is not generally possible you possess every knowledge in the universe, and the quiz is potentially going to cover all of that knowledge. Application is the key, and that is your brainpower. But here's the thing. One of the selection processes for advancing test takers to the next level besides scores is the submission time. The earlier you submit, the better are your winning chances. And this factor is going to be the first in the selection process after the screening of submitted entries for fraudulent submissions and submissions that go against the rules. After this process comes the selection by score. So while you are researching heaven and earth, be aware that others are clicking Submit.

  • As earlier said, the topics the quiz would cover would be very wide. To ease stress and facilitate better results, you will be given Topics for Research (TFR), which would contain the topics that we think would not be generally known. Use this TFR and study hard and wide in preparation for the main quiz. The TFR would be provided during registration on the payment page. Remember, the application is key.

  • Do not feel discouraged. Maybe realizing that this is a contest involving many, many people, you might want to back out and say you would not make it. We're here telling you not to be. Don't let anyone shove it into your face, not even yourself that you're not smart enough to compete against thousands of people nationwide. Those people don't want your progress, as who knows, you might be the next Wonder Champion!

  • Don't keep the contest to yourself. You may have that feeling that the fewer people that know about it, the better your chances at winning. You would be wrong and be at fault in many ways, including the fact that you're an enemy to the progress of your fellowmen, and you might end up ruining the prizes, which you might not even get. You should know that the more the test-takers, the juicier the prize.

  • Finally, when you are already on the quiz interface, remember to breathe and relax before commencing. Do not rush and answer the questions lackadaisically because you want to submit them early.  Answer the questions with a cool head, and you would have a greater chance to make it to the top. A minimum pass score will be given for the test. So try your best to do well, don't rush your mind when you're thinking, but rush when you're clicking the answers and moving on.

  • It is not compulsory that you answer every question in the quiz. If you feel you've spent too much time and you've not answered some questions, you can guess them or leave them and Submit. Of these two options, guessing is recommended.

Before we move on to the application process, we have made available two Sample Quiz interfaces for you to have a preset of what you will be getting into. The first one is a bland interface and is available to everyone. The second one is a spicy interface and is available to only members.
